Taven Hamilton '27, Baltimore House, with Mrs. Suzie Sorrell

Taven is dependable and responsible and meets deadlines. He has a positive attitude and is willing to help in any way possible. His professionalism and ability to communicate with adults are skills that some students do not possess, but he has in spades. He is the embodiment of a Carroll Patriot.

What activities are you involved in at Carroll?

I'm on the football and track & field teams.

What's your favorite part about being a student at Carroll?

My favorite part of being a Carroll student is being able to come to school and interact with respectful people and staff, how easy it is to make friends, and fit in where you would like to be.

How should school help you succeed?

School should help you succeed in becoming a responsible human being and should help you understand what you need to do when you want to accomplish something.

What's your biggest dream in life?

My biggest dream in life is to become a responsible, working adult. I want to go to college, get a good career, get a nice house, get a family, and live until I'm 100.

What's a lesson you learned when overcoming a difficult obstacle?

Things will happen to you, and you will have to go through it. You should always be faithful and positive, because if that's all you can do in that situation, then so be it.

How do you enjoy spending your free time?

I like to spend my free time with my family, friends, or even just by myself. Sometimes it's good to be by yourself so you can reflect on your life, just think, or even just chill, listen to music, or do whatever you want.
